End of Year
Hello everyone. The state of Idaho has cancelled all spring sports and activities, therefore ending our season. I know most of you already knew that the season was over, but this news from the state makes it official. I don't really know what to say, especially to you seniors. I've thought about how I would have felt if my senior year ended so abruptly, with no track, Sr. Prom, graduation, etc. I would have been devastated. I know you will all be ok -- it is just an extremely unlucky and unfortunate time for all of this to happen. For you underclassmen, try to view this a life lesson. When you talk about "play like its your last game, etc.", you should now take that to heart, because you never know. It might be your last game, meet, etc. This is an excellent reminder to appreciate and take advantage of the gifts and opportunities that you have -- you truly never know when it all might end. I miss seeing you and I hope you and your families are healthy and well.
I will send out a remind in the next few days about how to turn uniforms in. We still are not allowed any contact with you, so I'm asking for guidance from the district about how to do this. I should know more this week. Underclassmen MIGHT end up keeping uniforms over summer, and I would collect them in the fall. Seniors -- you will need to turn them in and any equipment that you may have. If your uniform doesn't get turned in, you will be issued a fine for missing items.
Again -- I am so sorry the season ended up like this. I wish it had been much different. Take care of yourselves and stay healthy. Please look for a remind about uniforms. If you need anything let me know. I think most of you have my # or email at my school email.
